Managed SOC
Managed SOC Providers
Managed SOC providers operate part or all of the security operations function for a buyer. The important difference is not the label, but how much monitoring, investigation, containment, tuning, reporting, and incident support the provider actually owns.
How to use this list
Use this page for
- Buyers comparing providers that can run or materially support day-to-day SOC work, not just sell a single tool.
Compare first
- Response ownership, platform model, analyst coverage, escalation rules, pricing assumptions, and what remains with your internal team.
Ask vendors
- Which response actions can you take without approval?
- Do you bring a platform, operate our tools, or support both?
- What is included in 24/7 coverage beyond alert notification?

Market context
Managed SOC is a broad buying term. Some providers deliver full SOC outsourcing with analysts, detection content, response playbooks, and reporting. Others provide co-managed monitoring on top of an existing SIEM or EDR stack. The same buyer may see MDR, MSSP, XDR, co-managed SOC, and SOCaaS vendors while searching for a managed SOC provider.
For shortlisting, separate the service by ownership. A provider that only forwards alerts creates a different operating model than one that investigates, contains threats, tunes detections, and supports incident response. The best fit depends on the buyer’s internal team, existing stack, compliance needs, and tolerance for provider control.
