Shortlist fit
Mid-market teams that want shared SIEM, MDR and response workflows in one platform
Provider handles
Service shares SOC workflow with your team or MSP while you keep control.Check before buying
Connecting the right data sources and validating what each source is used forAlso fits
- MSPs and MSSPs that need a multi-tenant security operations platform
- Buyers that want stronger Microsoft 365, identity and log monitoring without building a whole SOC team
Can replace
- Separate entry-level SIEM and MDR tools for smaller teams
- Manual review of common identity, cloud and endpoint alerts
- Some compliance reporting and security operations workflow overhead
Coverage
Provider covers
- Security Operations Platform with SIEM-style log collection, UEBA and SOAR
- 24/7 MDR monitoring, investigation and response through Adlumin's SOC
- Integrations for cloud, identity, Microsoft 365, EDR, security awareness and syslog sources
Your team still owns
- Setting response boundaries, escalation rules and SOAR exceptions
- Managing endpoint, identity, cloud and SaaS controls that feed Adlumin
- Confirming whether the buyer, MSP, N-able partner or Adlumin SOC owns each workflow
Tradeoffs
Works well
- Combines MDR, log collection, automation and compliance reporting in one platform
- MSP and public-sector buying routes are clearer than many smaller MDR providers
- Reviews often praise visibility, support responsiveness and value compared with separate tools
Watch out for
- Buyers must adopt Adlumin's platform rather than simply keep an existing SIEM unchanged
- Public package and pricing detail is limited, so quote comparison takes work
- N-able ownership changes roadmap, channel and support questions for existing Adlumin buyers
Reviews
Review synthesis
Reviewers often describe Adlumin as useful when they want SIEM-like visibility, MDR monitoring and automation without operating several separate tools. The recurring cautions are package clarity, false positives, integration setup, SOC communication and what changes under N-able ownership.Customers like
- Buyers like having logs, MDR investigations and compliance reporting in one console
- MSP users value the multi-tenant operating model and partner delivery path
- Reviews mention responsive support and lower cost than some separate SIEM or MSP alternatives
Watch out for
- Some users report false positives, noisy alerts or ticket detail that takes time to sort
- Integration and Microsoft 365 setup can require more clarification than buyers expect
- N-able acquisition creates support, renewal and roadmap questions for existing customers
Pricing
- Price
- Quote-based; no public list price
- Billing
- Tiered, Custom
Questions to ask
- Which package are we buying, and which MDR, SIEM, ITDR, vulnerability, IR or warranty features are included?
- Which response actions can Adlumin take automatically, and which require customer or MSP approval?
- If buying through N-able, an MSP or Carahsoft, who owns support, renewals and SOC escalations?

Editorial notes
Market position
Adlumin is best read as platform-led MDR with a co-managed SOC operating model. It fits buyers that want one operational console for logs, detections, automation, compliance reporting and MDR support, not buyers that only want analysts layered over an existing SIEM.
Package boundary
N-able publishes Adlumin MDR Base, MDR Complete and MDR Plus package names. Public material does not expose full package pricing or every feature boundary, so buyers should verify log retention, data sources, ITDR, endpoint response, vulnerability, IR and warranty scope in the quote.
Response boundary
Adlumin supports automated response and SOC escalation, but public evidence does not make every action universal. Buyers should ask which actions can disable accounts, isolate devices, trigger ticketing or remediate findings in their connected tools.
Channel ownership
Adlumin is now part of N-able and is sold through MSP, partner, AWS Marketplace and Carahsoft routes as well as direct vendor paths. Buyers should confirm whether support, tenant administration and renewal terms are handled by Adlumin, N-able, a partner or an MSP.
Compliance wording
Public sources support compliance reporting and mappings for frameworks such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, NIST, ISO 27001 and FFIEC. That should not be treated as proof that every deployment satisfies a buyer's audit, certification or regulatory obligation.
